Problems booting hard drive - compaq presario

I have a compaq presario which will not boot for me.
I have taken it apart, replaced the KTS Cr2032 battery and made sure all connections were in tact. However i am having no joy.

I recently moved it from one room to another and since I plugged it in the new room it will not boot giving me a message of: Please reboot or select another drive - something to that effect.

Im starting the think the hard drive is fooped which means replacing it.
Before i decide to take the hard drive out i was wondering if anyone here would have any suggestions as to what is wrong with the PC?

Quickest way to find out is to run a hard drive diagnostics, download UltimateBootCD on another working computer, burn it onto a CD, boot off this CD (As if to install Windows etc.)
Go to Hdd>Diagnostics and choose Seatools, run a short/long test. Should tell you right away if the hard drive is knackered

You probably clicked on an ad, you download a .iso image from that site on THIS PAGE. This image you can burn onto a CD from another working computer, I preference using ImgBurn but any decent burning software will do it.
You then put the burnt cd into the faulty computer, and boot off it as if to install windows. Usually there is an option to enter a boot menu but on some systems you need to enter the bios and change the boot priority from hard drive to cd rom first.
Let me know if you need any more help
