    I'm not one of the cool kids that use twitter,so i ask some of the twit members here,does twitter suffer from same silly or pointless posts that we see on fb dumb statuses thread?.

    Twitter all depends on who ya follow.

    If ya follow people like Jedward and Paris Hilton its going to be bad, car crash bad.

    If you follow people like Stephen Fry then its not so bad, all depends on what you want to follow and what ya can see from the people you follow.

    Its not as bad as Facebook IMO.

    once you learn to filter out the white noise twitter can be quite useful.

    One example was last year when the snow hit, it was much easier to get information on what busses/trains/luases were running by searching for things like "Luas Green Line" on twitter. The websites of the various transport systems were hours behind and suffering from a lot of downtime.
