As all hell breaks loose in Shreveport, Sookie summons her most potent powers yet to save Bill, in the process breaking a spell and leading Marnie/Antonia to re-evaluate her mission. Jason urges Jessica to glamour him for Hoyt's sake; Terry drags Andy to "Fort Bellefleur" for an intervention; Alcide reconsiders his allegiances after Marcus fight with Tommy; Jesus, accompanied by Sookie, Lafayette and Jason, tries to breach the Moongoddess Emporium's defenses to liberate Tara and Holly, while Bill leads a brigade of vampires committed to blowing the place to kingdom come.

Ooh I loved this episode! Thought the season had been blah up til now, but felt like vintage True Blood this week!

Focused on the original characters mainly, Eric telling Sookie
that he loved her even with his memory back was HOT, Terry and Andy's faceoff in the woods was funny yet touching, love Jessica and Jason yet still love Hoyt- ah it was all just great! :D

And the main reason this episode was very enjoyable:
Tommy is dead! Hallelujah! All the better because I didn't know it was going to happen. Has to be the worst character in the show's history.

Shelga I think you finished watching it at the same time I did!

Fiona Shaw is really excellent as Marnie/Antonia, I just wish Tara wasn't in half her scenes because she's so annoying!

I thought the writing and general set-up was kind of weak when
Sookie told Eric she loved Bill too.

Is Alan Ball setting the scene for a big were/shifter war next season with
Tommy being killed? Along with Debbie cosying up to Marcus which will set Alcide up against that wolf pack. I thought some of Tommy's storyline this season was really well done, the scenes with him as Sam was good, and Tommy as Maxine was brilliant!

Can't wait to see original Eric back in action next week!!!

    finals scene was good.

    glad to see tommy dead.

    stupid storyline this season.

the supernatural aspect of it ahs just become to unbelievable - the fairies was bad enough but now the vanishing at any point, it's just become too meh.

    very poor season in general.

    Great episode,

The killing off of tommy was gross and yet touching!!

Antonia/marnie was great the story is wrapping up nicely, although was it around this episode last season that things took a turn for the worst?!!!

The last few weeks have being going downhill this was a definite improvement.

Finally a episode that gives eric and sookie something to do rather than having sex that was getting boring!

Thought this episode was really good.

I didn't see the whole Marnie actually being the evil one thing coming. Now I hate her even more.

Would have liked to have seen more of Jessica as the few bits I did see I thought she was hilarious.

Tommy's death was a sad but good development of the action. I hated this character, however, I can't deny that he was great as Maxine! Which is actually the achievement of Dale Raoul (I guess this is the name of the actress) but still adorable.
And it was great to have one episode where noone had sex. Phew.
I didn't really understand what happened to Sookie and Co in the end of the episode. Did Antonia/MArnie do something or was it Sookie? and why didn't the vampires get burned on that protection wall? It seemed they came close enough.
Can't wait to watch the next episode!

A solid, enjoyable episode - probably the best of the season so far. I'm in two minds about Tommy's demise. He was just starting to get less annoying and now the whole story arc seems like a waste (actually it always seemed like a waste).

Just Tara to kill now and we're sorted...

Yay! Real Eric is back. Was getting sick of Dopey Eric.

Moar Pam & Jessica. Especially Jess being the whiney teenager.

Less Sookie. Why is she so annoying this season? Even Tara is acting better compared to her.

Glad Tommy is dead, he was too much of a whiny git. There always seems to be one pointless drawn out storyline in each series, and this was one.

I missed how Pam got cured. What happened exactly?

She didn't get cured. She's just been injecting herself with something to counter act it.

you gotta love terry towards the end of this episode when him and andy are out in the woods...classic:D

I really liked Terry and Andy in the woods. That's the type of subplot that improves the show, unlike 2 years of the Mickens storyline.

"My own momma knitted you booties when she should have been knitting for me"
"You were too old for booties!"
"I wasn't too old for socks!"
    I've missed writing like that this season ;_;

Did she now get cured when Sookie broke the spell at the hotel?

Thoroughly enjoyed that episode. This season is great - a few weak bits here and there but overall great. A lot neater than S3 (that was very messy. Although I was watching True Blood and TG4 when Russell Edgington pulled out the newscasters spine - that was a great bit of TV....
