A question re: holding paper invoices for 7 years

    Could anyone help me with this?

    We are a medium sized company who print aprox. 200 invoices a day plus some delivery notes etc. We scan these regularly and have signed copies etc. on our database.
    Basically the offices are filled with paper and folders now as we were told way back that we needed to keep copies on the premises for 7 years.
    I wonder as all invoices are now scanned do we need to keep the physical copy as well?
