    Canada has a points system, like the CAO. Get enough points, you get a visa. Easier than the US.

    Irish passport holders are also exempt, if I remember correctly the only country requiring a visit visa for an Irish passport holder and not a British passport holder is Afghanistan.

    Best way to go about living there? Plane, I'd say. Boat'd take too long, and is probably more expensive.
