irish coin 1663/1661

    Hi,
    I have a coin that i think is dated 1663/1661 with "DUBLIN" "MARCH" printed around the coin on one side and "WE" printed large on the opposite side in the middle of the coin. Has anyone ever heard or seen anything similar to this coin?

    It's actually a token which where issued by merchants because of a lack of official coinage. "March" is short for "Marchant", yes that's an "a".

    I'll take a wild guess at the particular one you have but it's quite difficult without clear photos! It sounds like a Richard Warren which is dated 1667. Can you see a pattern that looks like a chess board on one side?

    im not actually sure what is printed on it, its up in my dads and parts are difficult to make out.The lettering and numbers are most clear

    Ok well without photos to see the positioning of the lettering, that's my best guess.
