Test drive and insurance

I realise this may have been asked before, but I failed to find it :o

I want to take a test drive from a dealer for a private motor vehicle. I have comprehensive commercial insurance which won't cover me. I am name driver on my wife's private insurance, which likewise won't cover me.

What are my options? Do dealers have a policy to cover test drivers?

The dealer will have cover in place for you.

Dealers have motor trade insurance which will cover you with one of them with you
