If I pay $5 for 20gb storage do I get to keep that storage forever, or just the year?

    After a year of blogging, I've arrived at my limit of 1024mb (1gb) free google storage.


    Google are now requesting that I pay $5 for 20gb of extra storage per year.


    Not bad, because based on my curremt useage, that 20gb could last me another 19 years.. Right?!

    Or is that too good to be true..... as I suspect, do I now have to pay $5 every year regardless of how much of the 20gb stoarge I've got remaining by the end of the year (which will probably about 18/19 gb).

    Any experiences appreciated.

    (Just to say I'm only interested in storing in picassa because of image compression issues with blog)

    $5 every year. You're not "buying" storage, you're just renting it, which is an on-going process

    good idea except - your blog is linked to your gmail account.
    so new gmail account would mean starting a new blog.

    I suppose €3.46 per year aint going to break the bank - I already have a google blogsite for free, so ... may aswell.:(
