General Anesthetic query

Can general anesthetic be used by dentists or have to to go to a specialist/hospital ?

I've had braces now for 7 years, (sick of them too). There about 2 years ago I had a horrible experience with my dentist @ home.

I had to get 2 of my wisdom teeth removed and she"the dentist" managed to break both of the tops of them. Half the roots were left up there to be removed "later". Several injections later I could still feel the pain..not to sound like a b!tch..

I have to make an appointment with my dentist before I go back to my orthodontist at the end of September.
But the thought of even going back makes me cringe:o

Any help on this would be great
    Thanks :)

General anaesthetic may be overkill. Several dentists offer intravenous sedation to help patient be more comfortable with dental treatment.

Sounds like you need to find a better dentist. Some advertise they specialise with nervous patients.
