3GS Sound and Lock Button not working

    My daughter was playing with my phone the other day, she was in the middle of a game and the sound just stopped working. She didnt drop it or anything. The sound works fine through the headphones, its just the loudspeaker that doesnt work.
    I tried to clean out the headphone port with a trimmed down cotton bud that night and all of a sudden the lock button stopped working.

    Anybody got any ideas?
    And no, its not switched on to silent.

    The headphone socket, silent, volume and lock button are on the same circuits.
    Try suck the Dirt out of the headphone with a Hoover.
    Although it sounds like you need to replace them

    The headphone port works fine. Its the loudspeaker thats the problem.

    Was quoted €50 to replace the speaker today

    Deffo not the load speaker, the. Above would indicate headphone socket/button circuit.
    earphone jack/button set or dock connector(loud speaker). €40 see my Adverts ad
