Heard about this one at the weekend, it's on the Wicklow 5k RR champs course from a few years back, so it's pretty slick if you are looking for PB.

100% of the profit will go towards the Haven house building project in Haiti.

Go on ya blaggard - there'll be no soft SantaClausWearingJogAroundSomeObscureVillage gongs to be had at this one :D

P.S. If you fancy a leg loosner this Thurs there's a F4L in Shanganagh - flat as the proverbial pancake.

Oh, I shouldn't really, it's back to base miles - but it's hard not to race on a well trodden training route - decisions decisions!!!

No-one in wicklow seems to know how to use the internet, and instead just want to entry on the day, so I'm not charging late entry on the day! Its 15euro for adults, and 10euro for kids!

I see you've gone old skool with your promotional strategy ;)

Ha, once it does brings in people I don't care!

Bit of a rant here about the modern methods, I wanted to change the text in the ad on the runireland event page, and tell everyone that there is no late entry change, I have sent them several emails asking to change it, and nothing :(. In future any events that I advertise on runireland I will only be putting the bare information, and a link to the race website.

Out and back on the old N11 from Ashford, heading North and turning before the Cullenmore bends.

As the race admin you should be able to make those changes yourself

I don't know what went wrong on the website there that stopped the map showing, but I've changed link and its up again.

Heres the map to it, As Dom said its an out and back course, small bit of a drag uphill 1st km but as flat as you are going to find anywhere in Wicklow after that, and you have the bit of a downhill to bring you home last km! I'm also putting up a last 800m and last 400m signs, I've found them great in the past to give me that little boost when I'm totally shot! (in my head I can say 800m is only 2mins of running ha)

Thanks Tim for a well organised event today, a bit breezy so I was chuffed with a 1 sec PB - took a 3:11  last k to get it though!

Well done on the pb in wind BB, that's some going on the last k. I entered this during the week, but a damaged calf put paid to my braggacio. Wishful thinking in any case;)

Today's race was well organized thanks! Must remember not to buy & eat lunch then enter races on a whim - I nearly saw my lunch again by the time I finished:D
Seriously though lunch aside, I enjoyed it and I hope you made a few quid for Haiti.
