Sorry in advance if this has already been discussed.. I had to get new stronger glasses and was just wondering what to do with the old ones? Being environmentally conscious i dont want to just throw them away if theres an alternative?? Seeing as the glasses are made of, well glass, and metal and seeing as these materials are widely recyclable, shud i just recycle both separately??

Bring them into any optician - most will collect them and send to eyecare charities in developing countries

I'm also waiting for new glasses, bought in specsavers. If you have driving glasses, like me, you can get new prescription glass in an old frame and get it tinted. Hey presto, prescription sunglasses. I think it would cost about E 60 in total. Not sure.
