    So board got dinged up good last week, just wondering is it worth trying to fix it myself or bring it to someone to get it done up? I know I won't be saving money doing it myself so it would be more out o interest kind of thing.

    If you reckon it's do-able myself, can anyone point to a decent guide for it? and if not a decent repair guy in cork?

    Attached are pictures of the damage for your assessing pleasure.

    Jebus H Christ, I'd call that more than a ding! Go to a shaper/repair man, no question. :)

    yeah called it a ding for want of a better word really, and to preserve a modicum of optimism on the thing...:)

    I'm sure if you google "ding repair guide" you'll loads, have a look here http://www.boardlady.com/ you could fix it yourself but starting out I think you are taling on a bit much. Either of these two could fix it to the point where you would hardly see it. http://www.aorsurfboards.com/blog/ http://www.glidesurfboards.net/home.html

    @Low Pockets
    The short version is that as I paddled out (in the whitewater I hasten to add) someone else surfed in, and through my board: An unstoppable kook meets an immovible muppet.

    I probably should have been paddling further out from the main line up (such as it was), but I reckon he probably should have looked where he was going.

    @bigsurf
    Nice one Pearse, might have someone who can do it, but if not I'll drop ya a line.
