My Samsung N110, bought about 18 months ago in one of their stores

the charger has been a bit troublesome lately, having to manouevre it constantly into a position where it will juice

appears to be leaking now, obviously on its last legs

do PC World have these in stock to buy over the counter , or am i looking at having to complete an order form and a waiting period?

First time this has happened me

    Cheers

They will have universal ones there, they come with interchangeable tips to make them fit any laptop and some have a dial to adjust voltage on them. They may also have or be able to order a charger for you.

Might be a bit pricey though, make sure to shop around too. See if there's any here:) http://www.dabs.ie/category/cables--power-and-adaptors,power,batteries-and-chargers/11247

Get one off ebay that's specifically for the samsung. They are very cheap and the universal ones always end up breaking the changeable end plugs.

called into PC World today, they didnt have any in shop (or they don't keep a supply, one or the other) assistant told me to ring a 24-hour number provided, with the serial code of the netbook itself

and a replacement will be sent out to me

happy enough. i don't mind waitin a few days or a week as i can charge my machine in the meantime with a friend's Samsung charger

When it comes to power supplies, don't cheap out. A badly built one could destroy your computer or go up in flames. I've seen cheap power supplies that looked the part but when you took them apart they were dangerous as hell.

original number i was given in the store sent me down the wrong path and it took ringing a few different numbers to sort things out

i've been told to expect a new charger to arrive in a week or 10 days time

for PC World/Curry's customers with similar issues, the tech. support number is 0818-717-100. You will get talking to one of the team in Sheffield and it is here that you give your details about the problem(s)

Hmm, I've never had any trouble with cheapies off ebay.. I'm on my second replacement (got it today) and it's grand, not overheating or anything. It does have the Sony sticker/logo on it though which I am a bit skeptical of though, even though it looks authentic.

Surely if the ebay seller has a spot on reputation it's grand no? I'd rather pay 15 quid than 50 quid from pc world any day.
