When are you informed of Grant decision?

    Hi, can anyone tell me when Dublin City Council informs people on the decision about their grant. I got an email asking what course I will be taking up but that was it. There was nothing about weather or not my grant was approved!

    So when do they let us know?

    I can assume dublin city council is one of the most popular places for people to apply, and as so many have stated before, it depends on when you applied, how many appy this year, how much backlog there is, and so on.

    to sumarise it, no one knows sadly. they will process your application, but god only knows how many are in the queue before you.

    Noone can say except DCC

    It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    I was told by the Dublin VEC I would hear back in October hopefully! Last year I was told the same thing as I was just renewing the grant and not applying as a new appliciant. My friend applies with the DCC and last year heard back in September. Your applications seems to go in quicker if you're not applying for the first time. There is no set time on what you will hear because they have so many applications, especially in Dublin.

    Could be worth giving them a ring tomorrow and see if they could give you an approx date?

    I haven't even gotten an Email from the DCC and I applied in JULY!

    Meath Co.Coucil sent me a letter last Friday to let me now my grant was approved. I did apply the very day the forms came out though, I think it was in late June or so.

    When I'll get the first installment though is an entirley different kettle of fish...
