    Hi folks.

Firstly, I have never purchased or really operated a video camcorder before (are they even called video camcorders anymore…or is that like saying “best walkman on the market”?)
Although I do use my iPhone a lot for taking videos, so I am aware of the concept :p

Anyway, I am looking to buy a really good quality yet affordable camcorder.

I will be using it for the following:

    Indoor family events.
Recording music indoors (as in live trad sessions)
    Uploading these to the internet.
    Outdoor usage would be limited

I am mainly looking for good quality and longevity, as in I do not plan on updating next year for a newer model.

So what would you good people recommend?

Do I need a lot of add-ons to record music?

And where would be the best place (I’m based in Dublin, North)

    Thanks in advance Folks.:)

    B

The first and most obvious question is......What is your budget?

    Thanks Keef (should've mentioned that)
