Samsung 27" TV Saorview Query Amazon/DID

Just one to throw out there - I think I know the answer but want to double check with someone on here 1st! I see that the Samsung UE27D5000 is an approved Saorview TV.

So is this one listed on Amazon (£315/€385) going to work exactly the same as this one from DID €479 ?

The only difference I can see is that the model number on the Amazon one ends with a U. I can only imagine this is for the sticker branding on the TV and/or box? The Amazon one is nearly €100 cheaper so I'm wondering if I'm missing something here? Would the UK one have a MPEG-4 tuner?

    Thanks.

I would say they are the same model. Don't see a U at the end of the Amazon one.

My brother has a 2 yr old non Saorview TV and it has an MPEG-4 decoder. I think Samsung like Sony included MPEG-4 decoders early on in most if not all of their models.

Sorry - Try this link which shows it

Thanks - I kinda figured as much. It was the big price difference that threw me! (I should be used to this by now...)

Fine for Saorview (but not for Freeview HD).

    DVB-T DVB-T (MPEG4)
