How large/small do you need it to be? If you have to carry it anywhere then clearly the smaller the better.

What do you need it to do? Just browse the net? Or more? If so what?

600 will buy you a laptop ranging in size from 17" to 11.6", and from specs that will allow you to do some moderate gaming to nothing at all. There is no "Best" for a price range without giving specific details.

    Size?

Will you be carrying it around with you, or will it spend most of its time on a desk?

I think this would be quite a good purchase for the budget in question.

Comes with an solid i5-2410QM processor, 500GB HDD and 4GB of Ram. It also has a dedicated GT540M graphics, which is a decent enough mid range GPU that should run most games fairly respectably. (Although in a 1600 x 900 17" laptop it won't perform as well as it would in 15" (1366 x 768) laptop).

Its probably close enough to the best dedicated GPU you will find on a 17" laptop at that price point (Most 17" that I can find under 600 on Saveonlaptops.co.uk only come with integrated GPUs).
