There's different types of Pimms - the most common one is a gin based drink that has spices added to it.

    It's quite tasty.

You can only get the gin based one in Ireland - I've tried extensively but the best I ever got was the winter warmer as a once off. If you want another variety, bring it from the UK:mad:

Delicious with strawberries, TK lemonade, oranges, blackberries, blueberries and cucumber. Mint and sunny weather obligatory.

Because they're ever so corny and that level of corniness makes me feel slightly embarrased(sp?) :o

Is it a blokes drink though?

You must use a glass the size of a vase to fit all that smorgasbord of ingredients into it.

    Smorbordgas... hmmm

Of course, it's got quite a high alcohol content (25) and guys love it as much as girls in my experience.

In fact I'd say Mojhitos and Pimms are the only two times a guy can drink a cocktail drink with copious amounts of fruit and not look like Carrie's fat gay friend from SATC

You mix it in a jug with ice. Like Britain's answer to sangria

Why can't they use more attractive people in the ads.

Can't put my finger on it but they seem a little strange.

It's a drink I've only ever had in the UK with fresh fruit / veg in it. Quite refreshing. Sort of like a summer spritzer meets sangria type thing. Have an unopened bottle downstairs actually.

    Spiffing. Quite.

I'd presume you'd need to use phrases like "Chin Chin!" and words like "smidgen" while you're drinking it?

Tarquin fetches them in his car and drives them over to Auntie Penelope's house for high tea...

Pimms is fantastic, haven't had it in years though.

Put it in a jug with some 7up and loads of strawberries, cucumber, apples and its yum yum yum. Makes loads too so its good for bbq's etc.

Pimms is my absolute favourite alcoholic drink!! Make it in a big jug, put in some ice, strawberries, cucumber, orange and lemon slices and a few mint leaves, then add 1 part Pimms to 3 parts 7up, leave to sit for a minute or two so all the flavours mix and then dig in.

I'm disgusted cos I won a big bottle of Pimms at a pub quiz raffle the other month and I can't drink it cos I'm pregnant! It's sitting in the cupboard taunting me!

    Knock it back Missus.

Your baby will be extremely refined, and always plastered whilst scowling at you in that faintly aristocratic way.
