I am looking for a decent app that will automatically connect to open networks as i am passing
I have tried wefi and wifi buddy but they dont seem to work as well as i had hoped.

Does your phone not do this itself anyway? Go into settings > wireless & networks and click on automatically connect to open networks

Can I suggest you dont do this. Open wireless links make it very easy to steal all your logins for gmail, facebook, twitter etc. Even if you are using SSL, which I hope you are, it is still possible to sniff your credentials using a method called SSL Stripping.

If I were you, I would only connect to wifi connections in a shop or pub or whatever when they say they have free wifi, and you have to ask for a password. While still not 100% secure, it lessens the risk of having your details stolen.

You are right it should ...but it never seemed to work.
Its all a lil redundant now as the phone wont connect to wifi now at all.
When I turn on wifi it searches for a few seconds then switches off the wifi again.
Think I might just have a look for another ROM.
    Running: CyanogenMod 6.1.0-rc1-spica alpha 7.2

Are there any stable alternatives out there ?
