Drop your music package

I've noticed at 3:00 you can't listen to music anymore.
In the past you could listen to music anytime you wanted to but now at
3:00 you're subjected to teleshopping on all of the music channels.
I used to enjoy listening to music late night apparently thanks to sky and their advertising bitches I don't have the right to do that anymore.
Well I'm not paying for advertising so I will be withdrawing paying for my music package completely and I implore everyone else here to do the same.
I hate jersey shore and all the other **** MTV shows and I will not pay for advertising.
This is the final straw.
I'm not paying for **** everyone who cares should drop their music package it's not worth a **** anymore.

Its the same on freesat mate, eg the vault etc. though vintage tv goes through the night.


Judging by your potty mouth youre watching too much tv anyway so maybe its for the best

TBH, I noticed that tonight for the first time, too. Slightly irritating, to say the least, as most of the music that I listened to on TV was after two a.m.

Can't possibly have been like this for long, just a month ago I was listening away to the music channels at 4a.m.

Sometimes your best way of getting the message across is using foul language.
It's just a way of showing I'm angry and disgusted, that's the only reason.
You seem to have missed the point anyway.
It's just not right.
It's not what we're paying for.
It's not what I'm paying for.
I'm paying for a music package I'm not paying for ads.
I don't watch too much tv.
I don't watch much tv at all because there is very rarely anything decent on anyway.

I'm wondering what are you missing out on by not paying though?
New simpsons , south park,family guy,I like watching playr too as I'm a video game freak,
man new simpsons is crap though.

Anyway we're missing the point a little here.
I was talking about the music package.
My message to people is to cancel the music package and show sky that you're not taking any rubbish from them anymore.
I'm cancelling my music package on monday because of what they've done.
I'm not paying for advertisements if I want music late at night I've got the right to and if sky is going to deny me the privelage they are not getting my money for that service anymore.
I hope MTV and all those channels die for trying this garbage.
That's what they deserve.

True,from September 1,there will be only 2 mixes instead of 6.Anyone with 2 or more will automatically be upgraded to the 6 mixes at no extra cost (until August 2013)

Cancelling music would be a bit pointless in that case,anyway MTV is in the Variety mix as it's no longer classed as a music channel.

About half the music channels are FTA anyway.;)

@ the op-why not listen to some of the radio channels on Sky if you want late night music?

You are shooting the messenger here. Sky do not operate any music channels. The music channels that are part of the Sky package are operated by MTV and Box Television among others and it is they you need to address complaints to.

They hardly ALL have teleshopping at 3am, do they?

You do know BBC Three/BBC HD is FTA right? they are the first channels over here to show the new episodes of Family Guy. As for the Simpsons, you admitted yourself that the new episodes are crap anyway..

Thanks for the information about the new packs I had no idea about that.
I got onto sky and and they dropped the music pack for me.
So anyway now I've got documentaries, kids and variety.
Will I be put on the entertainment or entertainment extra pack when these new packs come in?

You'll get all the rest of the packs come Sept 1st. Remember the price is frozen for 2 years so you'll pay the same as you are now until then.You'll get the music pack back again in a couple of weeks.

I don't know if they're bluffing because they don't want to lose money or what.
I was thinking of getting rid of the kids package and bringing back the music package.I don't know though to be honest. Only reason I kept the kids package was I like watching spongebob squarepants.
Is Nickeodeon free to air now?

You'll get the rest of the channels in a few days,I reckon they were being vague as huge amounts of people have copped this and are adjusting their packs with Sky to take advantage of the fact that they'll get extra channels free in a few days time.

Actually its great to have the proper music packs back this morning. You don't really realise how limited the ftv/fta channels like bliss,flaunt,vintage etc are until you see the likes of mtv classic and 4 music!

Even better to be not paying any extra for them for the foreseable as well:D
