Took the slide and barrel off my Desert Eagle the other day to clean it down,

I've taken it apart many times before and had no trouble re assembling it.
But for some reason when I put the slide (with the selector switch) back on, it goes as far as it would at resting position and no further, I.E I can't rack the slide back?

Any of you out there had this problem before?

Please help I love my deagle :(

KJW don't make a Desert Eagle - are you talking about the KWC version? Semi + Full Auto, Co2 powered?

If so, what can happen is there is a small allen screw on the underside of that slide that physically blocks the slide from moving. With the slide off of the pistol, have a look and see if the offending screw is there. Tightening that screw back up should fix the problem

Ha, don't worry about it. I was just curious about manufacturer as there are only a handful of desert eagles around, and I've not had any hands-on experience with the TM or HFC Desert Eagles.

My one is a great little piece hits 316-325 and has some kick was going mad when I couldn't get it back together. Hopefully that alan screw is the problem

Took that screw out, works fine now, but when I pull the trigger the hammer doesn't move...typical haha any ideas?

It's been a while since I've worked on a Desert Eagle - the last time I had a problem where the slide was jammed, I just removed the slide and tightened that screw so it sat flush with the slide, and it gave enough clearance for the slide to move. I don't recall having to remove it

How much would you say it would cost to get it fixed?

I can't discuss that without it being construed as shilling.

Honestly, this is something I'd say you can fix yourself - I'd have a search online to find more information on it. But yeah, as far as I know, it's just a matter of tightening (not removing) that screw
