so on my focus were it has been jacked up over the years parts of the sills or a bit bent and rusty so to stop the rust and that now before it gets bad was gonna take o the plastic sill covers and clean it up....

what i was going to do was stick on the wire brush disc on the grinder and grub like hell till its all clean, let try and straighten the cills a bit, then going to coat it with a good protective coat...

anyone done anything similar and can recommend best way to straighten up cills and best coating product etc?

The best way to straighten them if its just the lips is by working two hammers against each other. What colour is the car? If its a dark colour I wouldnt paint it I would just shutz so far up the sill, it would be much better for it and dont put on any of them plastic covers they only hold damp and then cause rust
