    Hi,
I'm starting a Masters in Sept. and am only now looking into accommodation. Tbh I haven't a clue where to start really. Where would be the ideal place to live while studying at DCU?

Is it too late to look into on-campus accom.? If not, which one one suit a postgrad?

I've heard Drumcondra might be a good place?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :D

    Doubt it too late.

I lived on campus for my final year of undergrad and now on campus for my postgrad - love it, makes life so much easier - its more expensive than private rental but when you take into account internet, waste collection, heat etc I actually think it works out the same.

Contact Campus Res - ask for Derek, he's sound.

    Cool, thanks!

What student accommodation are you living in? Are you staying in the one specifically for post-grads?

Yup - they will only let you stay in post-grad specific ones, there are three blocks, College Park, then Block A and B - try and get Block B if you want peace and quiet - Block A is next to the SU bar. College Park is nice but more expensive, I really dont see the point in paying the extra money.

    That's very helpful! Just one last question ( :o ) -
On the application form the types of accommodation are listed as :
'single 2 bed' etc. and 'double 2 bed' etc.

Does 'double' refer to a double bed or a room with two beds? (Sorry if this seems like a silly question!)

I think its the bed, but just double check with them

    Hey there,

I'm moving into college park to do a masters, VERY expensive but heard its the nicest spot on campus?

What facilities do the 'superior' rooms have?

Is there much difference from the Postgrad blocks?
