So far I've met one person who passed this

Anyone wanna share tips onf studying for it etc?

I've just been going over the lecture slides and watched a few short videos on youtube that explain everything pretty well and fast.

Dont have any clue as to how I'm going to practice for it(Seeing as the tutorial questions didnt really help!)

    Anyone else? :pac:

Hi is it intermediate macro your re-sitting? The tutorials were a joke, the sample mcqs were very basic, while in the exam they are near on impossible as the answers are so close/ could go two ways depending on other factors not specified.....
I have been going over lecture slides/tutorials as well, and feel prepared, but then i thought i was prepared last time only to be shocked at how hard the mcq section was in comparison to the examples we had been given....
What are you searching on youtube?

Not coming from a business/finance or economics background Macroeconomics is something I’ve found very interesting especially since the down turn. You may have heard the term “stress testing” which is essentially a generic term that is frequently used to describe a variety of techniques that are used to test the assumptions that describe many macroeconomic models and forecasts.
The key to stress testing is to figure out how to model the relationship between the macro economy and target variable of interest (dependent variable).. e.g if interest rates drop what is the shock effect on unemployment, GDP, property prices,…etc.
My advice would be understand the basics, the relationships between variables, go onto http://www.cso.ie/statistics/ and play around with some of the nice tools which allow you to plot datasets. Try the live register over the last 10 years – depressing stuff!
Another great resource that I always use for college is http://ocw.mit.edu/index.htm the guys n this unlike our UL lectures really know how to get the point across.
    Best of luck

The tutorial questions have very little to do with the slides and the past exam MCQ's have nothing to do with the tutorial.

The slides literally explain nothing! And your right bout the MCQ's they were far to close!.

I'd type in say Fiscal policy macro into youtube and a few online lectures that are about 4-8 mins long come up...Very very helpful!
