    Dear Irish MMA Fan,

I am contacting you about the Fight Before Christmas 4 MMA show in Dublin 9 on the 2nd of December. This will be a most excellent and enjoyable night of action with many people in attendance. 250 tickets are out right now and there's only a capacity of 300. I urge you strongly to contact me with your bank details so that I may forward a ticket on to you.

    Yours,
    Prince Barry Oglesby,
CEO of Barclays Bank of Nigeria,
    Lagos.

The show is now technically a sell out. All tickets are currently accounted for, however some of the clubs may return some of their allocation. I'll keep people informed over the course of the next week as I know some people prefer to chance their arm with a walk up.

    Barry

Just a few days to go to the last show of the year!

I will be receiving a few tickets back according to my sources so unless one of the clubs has a rush on, I expect to have some on sale at the door on the night, priced €25.

Okay guys I am receiving 50 returned tickets at the weigh in today! That means there definitely WILL be tickets on the door tomorrow night.

Remember to arrive early to guarantee your ticket. There is ample parking outside the venue, but I encourage you to use public transport if you will be availing of the bar facilities.

If doors open at 7pm, what time is the first fight scheduled to start?
I'm working 'til 6pm in Blackrock so want to get there on time.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,917 ✭✭✭Barry.Oglesby

First fight will be at 7.30pm. I'm fairly lax though so the first fight has been known to be delayed until 7.32pm :D

You should be fine I'd say. Best bet would probably be train to Drumcondra and then 16A to Whitehall Bingo club, or Dart to Killester and then any number of buses up Collins Avenue.

    Have a good one!

Will be driving from Blackrock, so bar any M50 delays it should be gravy.

    Cheers!

Ricky Morrison beat Liam Heffernan by doctor stoppage (blood nose).

Sean Savage beat Michael Fitzpatrick by TKO (G 'n' P)

Stephen Burke beat Alan Kavanagh by TKO

That's from clubmate's FB pages. Haven't a clue of the rest!

    Hi lads,

Fight before Christmas: 1st fight - bantamweight- Sean keoghan (kokoro) v ellis dolan (Lucan mma) - Sean from kokoro wins. TKO in 2nd. #fbc

Fight before christmas - bantam - 2nd fight - Ricky Morrison (Derry) v Liam heffernan (sbg) - doctor stoppage 1st - Ricky wins #mma #fbc

Fight before Christmas- heavy- @CoolmineBJJ's Sean savage v Michael Fitzpatrick - Sean Savage stoppage in first!

Fight B4 Christmas - feather - Oisin comer (bray) v niall de massi (Lucan) - comer wins via rear naked - fights going quickly - #mma

Lightweight - #fbc #mma - islam disai wins via armbar over Aaron O'Neill

Fight before Christmas CoolmineBJJ's Stephen Burke v Karl Kavanagh (team rhyno) - Burke wins in 2nd tko. #mma

It all get's a bit hazy for me after that I think Dean Knight won via split decision in a pretty good fight - definitely a rubber match needed between them.

    Official results tomorrow guys.

Quickly though thanks to all the fighters and teams who continue to support this grassroots event. Particular thanks to Paul Brady and Spartan and Daniel Thompson and Evolve, who were very cool in the face of a major oversight on my part.

After a shaky start I actually began to have a bit of craic with the MC thing but I think I'll leave it to others from now on!

The Sean Savage/Michael Fitzpatrick fight had a great atmosphere I thought. Really vocal from both sets of supporters. I also thought the Dean Knight/Dermot Byrne fight was brilliant and a great way to end the night.

Thanks to everyone who came along.
