Should I take a break from other sports before a target race?

    Would I be faster if........
    I ditched the other activies for the two weeks leading up to the race, I'm suspiscious that cycling is making my running slower.

    Overall, certainly concentrating on just running as oppose to doing a load of sports will without doubt make you a better runner, but its something that wont happen in just two weeks! Cycling actually does not have much at all in common with running, other then you need lungs for both! Cycling used totally different musclegroups to running, in the space of 2weeks you will not change much here, A minimum of 4weeks would be much more realistic in terms of gaining any significant benefit, from doing specific running sessions etc.
