Should be picking up a cheap 360 with the rrod

Is this an easy fix and what are the odds of success?

Also any possibility of explosions or electrocution:D

If i fix it can it still be connected to xbox live?

There's two fixes. One is to reflow the solder which is simple enough but is pretty much temporary. You'll be RROD'ed in another 6 months time. The proper way to fix it is to take it to somewhere were they will reball the system meaning they replace all the crap cheap solder that MS used with proper poisonous stuff that will last. This option is a lot more expensive but really the only way you should do it.

And you can connect to xbox live if you do either way.

    Go England! :)

    Great sporting day!

Vettel's Red Bull dropped its load so no points for him.
Alonso winning in his home country.
Schumacher finally on the podium again!

England defeated yet again on penalties.

Don't worry, all the Irish will soon be cheering on the brits again once the premier league starts back up :D
Get back on topic..Whats the story with the oul man cranking one out in the Cinema.
    Classic

No much else to be said, Sir Ultimates post summed up the whole torrid ordeal fairly well:

Old man bangs one out during cinema sex scene.
Old man changes seats, presumably because of soiling.
    Old man leaves cinema.
    Old man returns to cinema.
    Old main again leaves cinema.

Don't waste your time with hairdryer/oven type repairs. As retrolious said, it's reball or nothing. There's one or two lads in console modding that offer it I think in the services thread.

Provided it hasn't had its dvd drive flashed, using it on live won't be a problem

Exactly! Plus at least Ireland won something in Euro 2012. They came first at exiting the tournament. :pac:

I'm pretty sure they were too wasted to realize that Ireland were losing :o
Can somebody tell me what's the story with Zavvi's posting? DoA dispatched
on the 14th and still on sign  Thought they sent from Jersey :(

Sad to see England go out, I support an English team the rest of the year so always hope to see them do well...even if it's been a long time since a Derby County player has graced the team, at least we had Paul Green and Kilbane during his loan spell at Derby playing for us! Italy definitely deserved to go through tonight though.

And I reckon our fans did us a great service over there, wish I'd have been able to go myself!

There's a load coming through Jersey and it gets held up in customs. Just because it's close doesn't mean it will arrive early. I've had stuff from japan arrive in 3 days and then had an order from jersey or the UK arrive over a week later.

    Finished Resonance this evening.

Really enjoyed it... lot of WTF moments in the plot too... and some genuinely scary and tense moments.

I suppose your right, don't get wht they need customs different from mainland UK. 11 days seems a long time for Jersey though, stuff from S Korea and Hong Kong usually comes quicker than this

I'm not sure if it's sheer volume of stuff from Jersey or customs being more vigilant of items coming from tax free places like Jersey but I've always found you'll be waiting until the following week for your stuff if you order from there.

It's actually been ages since I've ordered anything from Jersey. Always found the postage to be very inconsistent compared to other places. The odd special offer aside, never find the prices on Zavvi or Play to be much cheaper than they are on amazon, and I never have to wait more than a working day or two for amazon stuff to be delivered.

Play have really gone down hill in recent years, too, especially with their shall we say 'liberal' exchange rates.

Anyone here installed a second SID chip inside their C64?
Easy enough? Any issues I should be aware of?

    cheers

I don't think I'll be using Zavvi again :P HMV is grand when I actually get the chance to get to it

You can actually buy a small PCB that has 2 SID sockets, and also pins on the bottom to plug into the SID socket on the main board.

I think SID2SID is the name of it.

Also Stereo SID Player is worth a look:

The 1541 Ultimate II cartridge actually emulates a second SID but I couldn't quite get it to work, I had to play with different addresses.

When searching on the forum, other people couldn't get it to work also.

    F*ck sake!

So I pre ordered Tokyo jungle from yes Asia before it was released which was grand. Then I got an email to say it wouldn't ship until the week after because if supply issues to which I thought fair enough, I'm sure it's a popular game. Then I got another email to say it wouldn't ship until the 28th because of the same reasons, and now today I got a 3rd email to say the 1st of July!

    I just want my game!!!
