There is one game, and only game, that captures how I feel about football.

Imagine seeing a pub full of people screaming at a television with that on it, and imagine people saying "sure isn't it great to see people supporting the country, go on the boys in green!"

Football will forever make a little part of me wonder if I am a space alien. Sorry guys. I just don't get it.

Nice price on the Tombraider HD trilogy.

    http://www.gamestop.ie/PlayStation%203/Games/10521/tomb-raider-hd-trilogy

I quite enjoyed all of these. Was never sure how they call them HD versions when they were all originally on the Xbox 360.

    Jaysus christ!

Remember I bought a supergun and had issues with it? I sent it back to the seller who said he'd fix it for free/pay for postage etc. All round nice chap.

Well he still hadn't received it (it was being routed through his mate in France)

it's a month later and I contacted anpost to see what was going on.

Turns out there was a failed delivery to his mate's house on the 14th of May. They left a note, but it was never collected - so it was returned to sender.

Seems to have been lost somewhere on the way back. Just had to log an investigation to find where it is.

Talk about a feckin nightmare. In defense of the seller, he's being supercool about it - offering me a full refund even if I do manage to get the supergun back. But still, never had so many things go wrong with one purchase before!

    Crap!!

May I suggest if it's a prob on the Irish side you contact Angus Laverty of An Post via twitter (@Postvox). They seem to sort stuff out very quickly when its via twitter and Angus is a decent sort of chap.

I was looking for Cave Story 3D for the 3DS for ages now, not willing to spend the 50 or so it's going for, being a stingy type.
The version for the PSP turns out to be excellent, and free! Have it installed on the PSP Go and it's beautifully well done.
If it turns up somewhere for around 30 I will certainly pick it up for the 3DS in the meantime.

And I know I am coming to this game quite late, forgive me.....

edit: change of plans, as detailed in the "got new sh1te and want to show it off thread" I have a copy of Cave Story 3D winging it's way from a rural Gamestop to Blanchardstown, should have it during the week, €40... still steep but I'll take it, the little rare beauty!

It better not be my rural GameStop.

Notice I didn't mention which one it was, for fear one of you b@st@rds would nip in and buy it!
It seems like it may be one of the more expensive games for the format, in the same way as Kula World, it had a very limited run, Gamestop never carried it, in the UK it is the same.
Right now Cave Story 3D starts at €45 and then goes up.
Ironically the main criticism of the game is the rrp, looking for €40 when it was given away free on the PC and others, and now it seems set to get even more expensive as the years draw on.
    Happy days for me though!
I now have a triumvirate of hard to find 3DS titles, Pacman&Galaga, Bit.Trip.Saga and soon Cave Story 3D, happy days....

I'm sayin' nothing.... not sure which one is supplying mine!
Once I have mine confirmed I'll mention it here, or you can just ring GS and get them to check the stock, they'll let you know what shops have it.

Hey Sparks, I was playing some Boulder Dash on the PSP Atari 800 emu... very good!
I always have fond memories of it on that machine.
    One question though,
Boulder Dash 3, no sign of a dig command, you know, to dig out a block adjacent to you.
Is this a flaw in the emu or was it left out?
It is present in the original and the first sequel, both of which I can play, with the command, on the PSP via emulation.
You are hereby commanded to talk about Boulder Dash!
Quickly now, before I change my mind!

Just Downloaded the Atari800 psp emu and Boulder Dash 3 and it works perfect

The Dig command is there maybe check the the emu controls are configured properly and that you have the right rom

Is it the Space version of BD3 that you are playing?

Edit: Boulder Dash 3 never came out on the Atari originally but it was ported unofficially.

Were you trying to trap me ?

    And here's one for Retr0...
    252605_10151828084740514_292206569_n.jpg

For those familiar with Retr0s dressing up habits, he is in fact not wearing the womens clothes and doing the spanking in this one, he is the pasty looking chap having the time of his life getting the spanking.... which is great cause I hear he enjoys spanking something all the time...... his monkey apparently....

Odd, didn't know he had a pet, and certainly not one so naughty as to require a daily spanking....

Judgement suggests that our opinion is definitive and... oh..... well it is, you are officially a Boulder Dash nut!

I'm surprised a tatt of Rockford hasn't found it's way onto your person!

Seen these? Not exactly an EverDrive but its some similarities and certainly interesting to 2600 owners. I've open up a 2600 cart before (Philips head screws! STANDARDISED SCREWS! :D) and wondered how hard it'd be to just swap out the chip.

    Sigh.
Perpetuating the negative attitude to the Limerick area. I should be able to say something about th problems that such actions can have in area as I spent a few weeks doing it in college last semester but nothing is coming to mind, doesn't bode well for results on Monday!
