Has anyone seen the Garda Car Surfing pic that surfaced today?

    0005ce65-450.jpg

Boards member CiscoStudent did a great job on giving it the retro treatment!

Personally I can see nothing out of the ordinary in the picture.

After listening to the '8-Bit Micros' - Arcade and Retro Podcast,
which Sparks, Dino and Retr0 talk about Isometric games such as Head Over Heels and the Last Ninja for a bit,

I went on the search for a clone of Head Over Heels i played on the c64,
and found a very nice page that shows practically all the Isometric games released on that platform, with a screenshot of each!

I could be wrong, but I think that could be a sister store of the RAGE? Vaguely recall them saying they were opening something - or someone closely affiliated was opening something - in the arcade.

Or: what Mister Saturn said :)

It could well be, its the first "stall" in the middle when you go in the opposite end to georges street, the stall was closed when i was there but there was some consoles in a glass case outside, i think i memory serves that stall usually sells records so it could be related to RAGE in some way. 50 euro for a SNES as well i think it was..

Pretty nice 2D map of the Ocarina of Time here that might look well printed out, or professionally printed in poster size.

To be honest I'm always willing to pay more for a common console(snes, nes etc) that's in really good condition. You can grab a SNES or NES/Famicom for very cheap but if you pay a little more you can get a non smelly yellow one that really looks great and feels at home in the collection.
But you are right, 50 quid for a standard snes thats probably not in great condition is a rip off and more or less the normal asking price in RAGE.

I'm on the lookout for a famicom at the moment and there sure is a big price difference between a mint condition one like this one I'm talking to a seller about
    1.jpg

and a smelly yellow one like this sort of thing

Tbh, for some things if it works then all the better. My famicom is definitely on the rough side but was dirt cheap.

Yep, character and also syphilis :D
As always, each to their own. I prefer my consoles to be minty fresh if possible.

Thanks for reminding me I've a triple pack of those mints in the kitchen that I forgot about. This forum is so helpful with non-games stuff sometimes!

WTF Sony!! Stop pulling games from the Vita store because they happen to have a flaw that allows homebrew. It's almost as if they don't want me to be running NES games on the thing

Latest game to be pulled is "Super Collapse" by the way.

Glad I held off buying a Vita now. Price drop is surely inevitable no? As for the 3DS, I'll wait for the re-design with dual controllers...

3DS??? Oh yeah, that black thing I use to stop my post blowing away or falling off the desk. I use the Black one downstairs for new post and a red/wine one for post I need to get to upstairs.
    Really handy devices :D

It's a neglicted piece of hardware in my house as well. Its not even a paper weight round these parts. Really must get that Kid Icarus title. That will bring my 3DS collection up to 2.

3DS is shaping up to be a fine console, really. I still only have two titles (the old Kid Icarus, Mario 3D Land combo) but there's a plethora of titles out or upcoming that interest me. Rhythm Thief, NSMB2, Devil Survivor: Overclocked (take that, US exclusives :P), Mario Kart, Project X somethingorother etc... It has plenty of life in it by the looks of it, and a more promising lineup than the Vita from what I've seen and heard.
