Didn't the RAGE change facebook page recently? Could it be that?

Think it's because I either started a Legend of Dragoon flame war (said the game was **** but was valuable so not exactly turning people away) or else telling people to go RGB that were having trouble with composite cables and saying how composite was ****e :)

Pretty sure I'm on the right page.

<3 Kid Icarus Uprising so much. Well worth getting used to the slightly bat**** insane control scheme.

Needs Circle Pad Pro control patch, or something, it's mental they didn't include it.
The developers, apparently, thought the existing controls were perfect, but also added that they didn't get the new peripheral until late in the games development, suggesting they didn't have time to add it, also suggests that the games code has been sitting on a shelf somewhere, waiting for Ninty to decide when to release it, I was wondering why it wasn't a launch game, as rumoured.

Does it not support it? It says it does on the box.

Only provides an alternate control scheme for left handed players.

The controls are actually quite good when you get used to them. Only real problem is accidental dashing during some of the platforming on foot sections.

Me too! Spent most of the weekend playing it. The replay value with the different difficulty levels/betting hearts is a fantastic idea. Collecting/merging /testing out weapons is really addictive.

The visuals and art direction of the on rail shooting parts is absolutely stunning. Jaw on floor stuff. Looks better than RE Revalations (I thought that was going to be the height of what the 3DS could do)

Have you played multiplayer much? I played a few games, so insanely manic. The best I was able to manage was 3rd place in a few of em.

Definite contender for best game on the system. It's up there on par with MarioWorld for me.

    Looking forward to this

    Legend of Grimrock
    http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/legend_of_grimrock

It's an old school dungeon crawler.

Wonder would that be anything like Eye of the Beholder back on the Amiga?

That's exactly what I'm hoping for.

Although I think Hired Guns was the pinnacle of the genre on the Amiga.

Must give that a bash again sometime. Only remember the four screens and not much else.

Just noticed the whole gog.com site has been given a revamp actually.

They're doing more new indie titles now.

Anyone know anything of The Whispered World?

    http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/the_whispered_world

    Looks stunning!

I hope they tear into MGS 4 and the NES MGS game but I'm sure they'll be skirt around the issue unless it's a freelancer from HG101 that wrote the article.

This is an urgent appeal to Jack Burton. Please try to keep your clothes on in your pictures so I don't get anymore shocks.

Well there were ones that went put online, at my request because even I thought they were too graphic....but I would call them "tastefully nude" wouldn't you?

And also, you can buy those pythons in a pet shop :D

In non jack burton related news it seems the M2 have done a stupidly good job of the 3DS emulation of the Game Gear, even adding options to replicate the screen blur and hollow look from the backlight:

Yeah, I've used them before. In fact I ordered something small from them today.
    No issues so far.

Have to get that on my iPad. I hope the Ocean feature has a bit about the legendary Parasol Stars C64 port.

It became the stuff of legend. There is still hope a demo or even some code samples will be found.

Reminds me of another game i really wanted back in my C64 days, Escape From Colditz. Only alpha code was ever found alas. :(

Holy crap, a Sega Megadrive just saved me from a fiery death!

Had a similar experience to this last night with my Mega Drive, except not quite as serious as what happened to Oisín.

I was battling away with Super Hang On and after a few hours of playing,
when along came the first sign that something was a miss.

The music stopped playing completely in the YM2612 chip, and the only sound left was the bike sound effects from the PSG.

Power supply felt a little bit hot, so I unplugged it just in case, (but it probably runs that warm after a good few hours of play all the time.)

It was then I noticed a Buzzing sound whenever I moved the 4 socket power strip.
    Not good.

There was also a rattle inside it, so I powered off and unplugged everything quickly.

Turned out that the Red plastic triangle thats between the Earth Pins in one of the sockets had totally come loose, and possibly a metal contact so binned it immediately.

Unfortunately upon powering up the Mega Drive several times afterwards, after the TMSS screen comes up, i just get a blank screen most of the time.

And now I can't get a cart to work at all.

Looks like the Mega Drive is badly injured but could possibly have saved someone from a bad electric shock!

I'll have to post more about the problems in a different thread.
