    Hi,
Im starting in dcu in september. Ill have a guaranteed spot in larkfield but i dont know whether to accept it or not. I'm kind of quiet and not a heavy drinker, two nights out in a week would be loads. Iv heard in larkfield there are parties everynight? So would you advise me to stay there or not? And can you get sleep there? And what if the roommate decides to have a party and you dont agree?

Normally in Larkfield word spreads about a night that every1s going out and normally every1 goes out them nights. Mondays and tuesdays are the most popular nights for going out, normally big tree, alchemy or diceys on a monday and every1 always goes to toxic tuesday on a tuesday this is when the student bars open late. If ur living in an apartment that doesnt face the courtyard you will be fine. Larkfields great to live in, you'll make loads of friends and have great crac defo dont miss the opportunity of living there. I was a quiet person before i moved there but now i've defo come out of my shell

Hey, I lived there, and I'm still a quiet person and not really a drinker. I still liked it just fine despite never going to 'parties', just not my cup of tea (also those apartments really cannot contain any large amount of people.).I Joined lots of societies, was busy every night as a result, then pend the rest of the time enjoying having the fastest internet speeds in the country ^_^.
But really security are strict on parties and anything making enough noise to draw attention to itself will be shut down pretty fast if it goes on past 12.
I think 11.30 is when the no-noise policy comes into effect.

The crazy drinking you hear about only really lasts a week or two and is just some kids going crazy with freedom. They do calm down and most will go out to have fun.
