Anyone there able to give me tips for wet shaving? I've been a blade 0 dude for years but I've decided I'd like to wet shave it for a bit.

One question I have is whether wet shaving is more hassle than machine shaving?

probably more difficult to see what you are doing than with a shaver:cool:

Just had to do this for the first time - on advice of my OH - I used her Venus blades - really nice shave.

It's easy! I do it every day, takes about ten minutes and is infinitely better than a '0' on a machine razor! Once you do it 2 or 3 times you'll be flying it! :D

get a good razor (gillette sensor II ,nothing too fancy) and i highly recommend King of Shaves Shaving Gel! Also look into some moisturiser with an spf and concentrate on the task a hand otherwise "there will be blood" :)

Anyone know just what the difference is between men’s razors? and women’s razors?

Womens blades have a thick coating of soap/shave gel stuff on them to make the glide easier.

Thanks for that. Just a pretty obvious follow on question. Any idea why all razors aren’t made this way then?

I was at a wedding with an ex and had forgotten my razor so had to use one of hers and afterwards I was in bits despite the fact it was brand new and un used so I wouldnt recommend using them on yer face.

I think the reason mens razors are so different is because of the different contours on a face compared to the relatively straight up and down of the legs.

I love wet shaving my head, but one thing puts me off, the cold. My poor head is freezing in the winter. How do you guys put up with it?
