Can't use company automated phone menu system with HTC Desire

    I'm currently looking for insurance and when I ring looking for a quote I come to the automated menu system which gives Option 1 for x, Option 2 for y. When I bring up the keypad on my Deisre and press 1 nothing happens. I also had this issue a while ago ringing other companies.

    I've tried Google but had no joy. Is there any way to use automated menu systems with a Desire?

    I can't use online quotes as I had a windscreen claim last year which means even though I have full NCB, I made a claim so need to inform them. But most online quote engines aren't designed for this.
