    Hi Lads,

I have a problem with my car there is a noise coming from right front wheel. Went to<snip> (<snip> Dealer):Dthey tested and changed the ball joint front right wheel and charged 300 Euros ( They changed the part unnecessary and charged the money ). I drive home same story still the same noice from the Front Right wheel again. Went to small garage down the road. They identified there is no break pads bcz of that noise coming from the wheel. Changed the break pads no sound after that. i can't understand one thing when the mechanic worked to change the ball joint can't he see the break pad how foolish.

See how the garages cheat the customer. I just want to share this bcz i don't want some one waste money going to that garage.

    Thanks.

Not all garages now in fairness. Were you getting a banging noise at times as well as a grating/scraping noise(pads)?

There could have been an issue with the ball joint too.
Did you get the old one back?

    nadhdk,

I have edited the thread to exclude the name of the garage. Based on your limited posts and post history we need to be mindful of naming garages by new posters. I'm prepared to leave this open provided that the discussion is based solely on the mechanical issue you experienced and you do not name the garage again.

Did you bring it back to the original garage? What did they say?

Asked they don't care. I always get the old parts but this time i haven't took it from the garage.

300 for changing a ball joint...you were ripped of.
