Theres some great posters in here, and people are very good at giving good free advice, which I've used on many occasions, but I think these Walter Mitty threads are starting to get annoying, and are bringing the sprit of the forum down.

    Any thoughts ?

There's isn't many of them in fairness, there are the complete spoofers who are on another planet, then they're are the I'm going to spend €100K on a car folk who go and spend 1/3 of that which is fair enough as things change etc. It's a forum, all part of the fun. Not much point reporting them as usually there is nothing wrong with the threads. Also as feedback from something you report is never given it seems a pointless exercise.

I've no problem with that thread in particular. Even if he's not 28, you can still see it as a "what if?" type discussion. And -- 28 or not -- people seemed to be genuinely interested in the responses. The fact that the OP might have been spoofing was irrelevant by that point.

So, in principle, it's not too dissimilar to the "if I won the Lotto" type thing. It's a thought experiment...
