A 5K race around the island, where Waterford Castle is situated.

Anyone planning to do this on Sunday? Anyone do it before?

I'm considering it, never did a 5K before, so a pb is guaranteed :)

I have done it the last 2 years RQ,its a nice event, alot different than the norm, lovely surroundings.
The course is up and down.
Its a 3 lap circuit,6 hills enroute,up 3 and down 3,you go down the steep hill twice and up the moderate hill twice and on the last lap you do a u-turn and go down the moderate hill before the tough climb up the steep hill and then 400m of a flat finish...not the fastest 5k out there but an enjoyable one none the less.
I hope to be there myself.

I really enjoyed it. The organisation was very good and the route itself is pretty challenging. Had a great afternoon afterwards just chillin out on the lawns.. seemed to be hundreds there.

Yeah it was a good day aright
333 entries on the day and with the family fun day incorporated there were a few hundred more family members around...the Zumba dancer was the biz ;)
