Saw a couple of threads over last few months about moderators and how well they work on the 22mag. Well just my 2 cents on it..........Was out tonight lamping with mate of mine,wasnt home from work till round 1ish so we headed out for 2 hours then.
Saw 6 foxes and took the 2 that were in 22 mag range with 30gr hornady v max. 1st one was at 90ish yards and 2nd at 120. Both clean kills,both vixens and the sak mod did very good job of reducing the report of rifle with faster 30 grainers on a very calm night.
Only problem now is have to zero up his hornet for him tmo so its my turn to be lamp man next night ,but might bring the 22/250 aswell for those slightly longer/wanna see charlie explode shots
