It's also 139.4 last night at Mad Cow Roundabout.

It's not a garage - go through Newlands Cross heading for town. Before arriving at the roundabout, take small slip road to left for Clondalkin. You will yard selling wooden sheds on left. Turn into yard selling sheds and pumps are there.

I have been using these guys for a few months now and have been the cheapest i have found on this side of the city.

    Are they legit?

I would have presumed so which is why I go there. They have or had ads along the Naas Rd after Newlands X. They wouldn't advertise if it wasn't legal (would they?).

I really have no reason to doubt their legality. How would I check this?

i know not exactly on topic but where would one stand legally if you bought diesel at one of these places got stopped and dipped and was found to be green diesel.

There is absolutely no ambiguity in the law in this regard. Officers of the Revenue Commissioners have the authority to seize your vehicle immediately.

You can have your day in court at a later stage to argue your position.

If you put washed diesel into a lot of new cars, you could also have to fork out up to 1000 euro for a new fuel pump / injectors.

Modern diesel's aren't as forgiving as the older models.

There seems to be a few of these 'city diesel' places around the country.
    Usually 10c a litre cheaper...

How do they do this? Is the diesel 'washed' or ****e quality?

The price of both petrol and diesel is set to decrease significantly over the next few weeks due to the lowering of crude oil prices.

I drive between Mullingar and Maynooth every day for work. Most petrol stations are charging around €1.49 per litre except the Texaco filling station in Clonard which is €1.44 per litre!! Needless to say, that's where I've been filling up. It really pi**es me off that they can lower their prices but none of the others do. As comsumers we should be supporting competition and going to the filling stations/shops/etc that are lowering their prices.
