Hi, I would love to be able to do a triathlon, but in the last few years ive gotten arthritis in my back and hips so ive given up on running.
I can cycle no problem however and enjoy swimming as my main exercise activity because its easy on joints.
I was wondering are there many races around that have just got swimming and cycling and leave out the running?

Never heard of this before usually an aquathon event is swim and run.
    Duathlon being run/bike/run

Maybe you could recruit a friend to do the run for you in a relay and you to the from and cycle

Thats a good idea! Or indeed i could do the swim part of someone elses triathlon. Im not sure if that would be allowed though.
I might just concentrate on open water swimming instead either. (There are plenty of races available) And I'll leave the cycling as a relaxing weekend activity!
