I am thinking of buying a Ruger 22/45 MK III .22 Pistol Linky

Has anyone here fired this pistol before or have any ideas on some good accessorys for this make of pistol.

I have already checked RFC, just looking for some homegrown advice.

    Hi Irish,

I had the Ruger MkII. I never had any issues with it. Shot a dream. Only downside was all the bits and pieces that had to be dismantled when cleaning it, and the knot you'd get yourself into trying to do it!

I'd made some enquiries, both on this side of the pond and t'other. From what I gathered, the MkIII was not as good as it's predecessors.

Must see if I can find the site/link for it for you and I'll send it on.

    Niceone mate

What lenght of barrell did you have, as the one I am looking at is 4 1/2 inches long. I am wondoring if it will be good enought for competition.

She was a short bull-barrel too. Won't let you down in any competition.

Although I have know first hand experience of the pistol, it seems to be the cheaper cousin to the mark series. There doesn't seem to be a huge price difference over here so you might be best off going with a ruger mark.

    Hmm

I have fired the ruger marks and I dont like the angle of the grip, thats why I am going with the 22/45 .
