    Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this.:o
I'll be in Australia for a while and will have to book accomodation (in Ireland) while there. The accomodation is for college when I get back.
I'll have to pay a deposit over the internet and need to know if I'll be able to do this from Australia using an Irish credit/laser card (I could use either)

I presume I can but just want to be sure, don't want to be over there and have no way of paying a deposit and losin my accomodation.

    Thanks!!

    Basically what I'm asking is:
If I'm in Australia, can I use an Irish credit/laser card to pay an Irish college over the Internet?
Would the fact I'm in another country have any affect?

Unfortunately I don't have the time needed before a paypal account can be set up:(

I would get a Moneybookers Visa you can top it up online from your Laser and it only has a once a year fee of 10euro which is pretty damn good. You can use this anywhere in the world where Visa is accepted.

    https://www.moneybookers.com/app/?rid=23892576

If you use that link I will potentially get a few bob from them but if you dont feel comfortable using the link just google them.

    Yes, it will work.
No, being there will have no effect.

As you are paying for a service which does not involve the shipment of goods, you will have no issues paying on the Internet from Oz.

Location doesnt matter if you are using a credit card. Is it an irish site taking the payment ? Then ask them what format they accept.

If however you were buying something in Australia on an Australian site. You might want to inform the credit card company you are taking a trip there or it will be flagged as an abnormal transaction and might not go through.
