You must be a powerful man, breaking golf shafts under the strain of your swingspeed!!!
I haven't seen a driver shaft snap from a swing but I have seen heads come off the older clubs from a shot, and have seen shafts break from swinging near a tree, always amusing when it happens someone else!!! I did play with a guy once in a scratch event in our teens, he pulled his drive a little left on the 1st tee in the second round when we were both in contention, he was a huge hitter and this thing was way up the hole in very light rough leaving him about a PW on a long par 4 where most good players were hitting mid-irons. Cos the ball just missed the left side of fairway he snapped the new driver shaft over his knee in temper, we were still using wooden drivers in those days, it was around the time graphite shafts and metal heads were taking off. His dad was caddying for him but didn't say anything instead of kicking his arse, the tit had to play the rest of the round without a driver!!!
Anyhow none of that helps your King Kobra, if you take it back to where you got it I would expect they will want to replace the shaft for you without charge, assuming you have an honest face!!!:)

Bring it to a local Cobra dealer and they will probably look after you.

When you take your clubs in and out of the car does your driver catch on the boot?
As something similar happened to me, the shaft snapped a few inches above the head. What I think happened in my case was that the constant flexing as club was taken out of car caused it to weaken and finally snap.
Changed the shaft, always put driver in separately now and hasnt happened since

My girlfriend did the same thing a couple of months go. She wasn't amused that I was!
