Aircraft over Sligo

I'm looking for help to identify an aircraft that flew over me just a few minutes ago at around 5.35pm this evening.
It was flying in the Dublin direction and it would usually have been the Aer Arann flight to Dublin but as there hasn't been one of those since the end of July I'm stumped.
I had a look on casper but couldn't see anything.

The plane didn't look too big, almost like a twin engine size of an ATR72 and was flying quite low, around 2-3000 feet. I'm not good at identifying aircraft so just wondering if anyone has any idea what it could have been

It may have been a Ryanair aircraft going into Knock.

We would never see flights over this direction due to land in Knock and the aircraft was the wrong size, it was flying over Lough Gill in the Dublin direction.

Possibly one of the Air Corp Casa?

There has been some private flights going in and out of Sligo since the airport closed. Seen a few last week alone. Oddly never noticed these whilst the Sligo/Dublin route was running.

It was CASA 252, which was operating in the vicinity of Sligo. When you saw it, it was heading back to Baldonnel. I heard it on the Shannon frequency.

Yeah the airport is still open for GA and the Rescue Heli but isn't open for any commercial flights.
My father still uses the airport as a base for his Searay and plenty of GA still occurs at the airport.

Sorry. I meant that the Dublin/Sligo route has ceased. Am aware that its still open to private flights, hence my earlier comment on them going in and out, also that the coast guard, etc will continue to use it.
