I remember watching the final of the South of Ireland a few years ago and had to pleasure to watch an exhibition of golf from both Justin Kehoe and Stephen Browne. From memory Justin was something like 7 or 8 under when winning!:)

Don't hear much about them anymore...........anyone know what they are up to????

I rembember Kehoe qualifing for The open in 2007.
It's actually 10 years since he won the South of ireland
Think he played a bit on europro as well but not sure if he's still playing it.

I think Browne was looking to have his amatuer status reinstated.
Remember him winning a couple of challange tour events and getting his card for the European tour once but it didnt work out for him in the end.

From what I know kehoe after the open gave it a year or so in America playing on one of the lesser tours trying to get a card. Sorry not sure which tour but I know he was on one of them. He's current back in college in ul and as far as I know has given up the dream of turning pro. He is a lovely golfer but unfortunately just not long enough.

I'd knew they'd turned pro but the lack of success explains why had heard very little about them over the last few years.

Can't believe they are both gone back to the amateur game and you wouldn't fancy facing either of them in an interclub match! Would be funny if both of them met again in a South final or both played for Ireland in home internationals. That would really be going full circle!

Continuing on from this, does anyone know what happened to Richie Coughlan and Keith Nolan? I know they tried to make in America with out much success, but are they still playing. I remember meeting them ay some tournaments when they were amateurs and seemed like good guys.

Nolan played a nationwide event back in June but missed the cut.
I think he caddies for Garrett Willis on the main tour.

Haven't heard anything about Coughlan in years, i know he used to play nationwide as well. Wasn't he the first rookie to earn his card on both sides of the Atlantic in the same year?

That's right - i think he played mainly on the US Tour and never really on the European tour.

What about Eoghan O'Connell, where is he now? Another great white hope!

Eoghan is living in West Palm In Florida, he is the director of golf at the Fox Club, a stunning private course.

Eoghan organised the golf at my wedding over there s few years ago, I played with him on one of the days and was hands down the best golfer I have ever played with
