The show begins with Booker T coming out followed by Michael Cole and Josh Mathews. As the crew finishes the ring preparation, Teddy Long comed out and the show opens.

With a recap of Summerslam, it's announced that Randy Orton will return to SD! as the new Heavyweight champion and as soon as the show goes live Randy comes out. He shakes hands with Teddy then takes a mic. He states that we are used to seeing Christian come out crying but he is not Christian. He is Randy Orton, the WHC. He says that Christian is not ready to walk and that is why he was not here. He then tells Teddy, he is ready to start anew. Teddy says that he will have to face the winner of tonight's main event, a 20 man over the top rope battle royal. Cody Rhodes comes out with Ted Dibiase. He tells Teddy that the Legacy have reunited in the ring. He says he is not happy with the ICC and he will enter the 20 battle royal. Dibiase says that they know Randy's strengths and weaknesses and he has not forgotten how he used them. Orton hits the RKO on Dibiase and stares at Cody before he leaves the ring and Cody looks on. Cody then asks Long to do something about this. Long says that since Dibiase can't compete, he will have to put his IC on the line vs. former champion Ezekiel Jackson.

Back form the break Ezekiel Jackson comes out. With both men in the ring the match begins.

Intercontinental Championship

Cody Rhodes defeated Ezekiel Jackson clean after hitting Cross Rhodes on Jackson.

After the match, the 20 battle Royal is advertised.

Back from break and Zack Ryder and tells Teddy Long that he invited Del Rio as he requested and Teddy said that he expected CM Punk. Ryder then says that he feels good about entering the 20 man battle Royal and thinks he will shock the world and be the next #1 contender. Just as he leaves, Lexauna comes over to Teddy and asks to watch the Battle Royal with her and Teddy reluctantly declines.

Justin Gabriel defeated Tyson Kidd after hitting the 450 Splash from across the ring.

After the match, The Great Khali and Jinder Mahal are talking and Khali says (in Mahal's translation) that he will win the battle Royal. Mahal says that HE will win the battle royal, not Khali. Del Rio is announced to be next.

Back from break, Ricardo Rodriguez is announced and he announces WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio. He comes out and says that he is the Champion and he was always saying that it was his destiny and it is real. He says that he made his debut in Bakersfield. He then says that he is a real champion and he will face anyone and he asks who is man enough to face him and Daniel Bryan comes out. From the stage, Bryan tells Del Rio that he was not special and that he won the belt like everyone else, when the champion was battered and beaten. He then comes to the ring and the match begins.

Alberto Del Rio (C) vs. Daniel Bryan
After a good match and multiple pin attempts by both men, Del Rio gets out of a choke and applies the Cross Arm Breaker to defeat Bruan. After the match, Del Rio attacks Bryan again. As he attacks, Sin Cara (the real one) comes out and does a scissors take down on Del Rio. As Del Rio tries to leave, Sin Cara takes off from the top rope and hits a body press. After, Sin Cara tends to Bryan.

After the break Del Rio comes back and he says that the people did not deserve him. Just then Triple H comes out and Del Rio says that he can't tell him what to do since he was the WWE Champion. Triple H then says he knows what Del Rio is trying to do and since Rey Mysterio was not able to be there tonight he will have a new opponent for him. Christian and Del Rio vs. Sheamus and Orton. After that Del Rio gives Triple H 3 seconds to get out of his ring and Triple H takes off his coat and Pedigree's Ricardo. Del Rio leaves the ring and leaves Ricardo behind.

After the break Kelly Kelly and AJ come out followed by Alicia Fox and Natalya

Kelly Kelly and AJ defeated Alicia Fox and Natalia after a leg drop from Kelly on Fox to get the pin. Natalya and Fox go at it and Natalya applies the Sharp Shooter after knocking her out of the ring.

After the break, Randy Orton is announced and he comes out. When he gets in the ring, Ezekiel Jackson, Justin Gabriel, Johnny Curtis, Zack Ryder, Yoshi Tatsu, Trent Baretta, The Uso's, Cody Rhodes, Ted Dibiase, Heath Slater, Tyson Kidd, William Regal, Jinder Mahal and Khali all get in the ring and then Sin Cara comes out. Wade Barrett, Mark Henry and Sheamus follow. The bell then rings.

Mark Henry won a 20 Man Battle Royal. Henry, Sin Cara, Sheamus and Barrett are left at the end. Barrett and Sheamus are on the outside apron and Sheamus eliminates Barrett and Henry takes out Sheamus. Sin Cara and Henry are left. Henry eventually tossed Sin Cara out to win the match.

After the match Henry says something to Orton, they look face to face and Henry and finally Henry walks away.

As Henry walks out, Sheamus walks past. When Sheamus is in the ring they are announced. Christian comes out followed by Alberto Del Rio.

Sheamus and Orton defeated Alberto Del Rio and Christian after Orton hits the RKO on Christian while Del Rio is out of the ring with Sheamus.

The show ends as Orton walks to the back.

As they want to build up heels on Smackdown as they are short on them and think that they can build Bryan up again before cashing in.

There was no discussion about the future of the original Sin Cara at this week's TV Tapings that we've heard. Hunico again worked as Cara at last night's taping. This is just conjecture on my part, but it certainly stands to reason that the longer this goes on, the less likely it would appear the initial Cara will return.

The idea of that angle really confuses me.. Because if Sin Cara can't speak a lick of English, how does WWE expect the angle to work??

Well if it was the BWE............

Sin Cara's wrestling, then Sin Cara's music hits and out comes another Sin Cara (Possibly in Mexico which would work well).

If the real Sin Cara really needed to speak he could use a translator to give his side across at first. They could even reference Mistico's lack of English as being one of the things Fake Sin Cara used against him, real Sin Cara couldn't return as he was hurt at MITB allowing fake Sin Cara to step in.

Then use video packages before matches and the announce team to tell the story during their matches. Using the announce team paid to tell a story would be a nice change instead of them arguing all the time!

Of course they could just forget about Mistico all together!

But the way they brought the character back before Mistico's suspension ended, referenced how much he "changed", how he recovered quickly from his injury makes me think there has to be more to it. Everyone already knows its not the original Sin Cara anyway.

Perhaps they could go back to Sheamus v Barrett and perhaps put Christian with Bryan. Both feuds could increase the profile of Barrett and Bryan but do no harm to the more established duo.

Great point i'd love to see it happen when it really matters. Would love to see Christian vs Bryan too.

I'd agree that it's far too early in Sheamus' face run for a title run. Given that he got the title so early when a heel I think that he needs to be given a chance to develop as a face before being thrust into such a big role. A face champion is a far more unforgiving role than a heel champion in my opinion, Sheamus is certainly getting over as a face but he has a way to go yet.

I love the idea of a Sin Cara v. Sin Cara feud.

Last week on SmackDown, we saw developmental wrestler Hunico make his WWE television debut, donning the mask of Sin Cara while the original Sin Cara (Luis Ignascio / Mistico) finishes up this 30-day suspension this week.

A WWE source has informed us that it was in fact Hunico working as Sin Cara once again at Tuesday's SmackDown tapings from Bakersfield, California - set to air on Syfy this Friday night.

Luis Ignascio, will be eligible to return to WWE this weekend - but many are questioning whether he'll be brought back at all. After a rocky start in WWE over the past several months due to blown spots, poor matches and an overall underwhelming rookie year, the original Sin Cara reportedly has "nuclear" backstage heat on him.

Really enjoyed the Bryan vs Del Rio match. Danielson caught him flush with that Flying Knee. Pity Bryan lost but hey that might mean he cashes in the MitB briefcase next week & wins the World title. The rest of what I seen was a bit meh. Battle Royal got a bit sloppy towards the end.

Are WWE going back to Sheamus v Barrett?

I enjoyed the Tyson v Gabriel match. Gabriel back in the face role could really be important on Smackdown and he reminds me of a lot of RVD.

They put Henry over really well in the battle Royal.

Best part of the Show was Del Rio v Bryan. I like the way Booker keeps sticking up for Bryan and by the end of his matches Cole has to give him respect.

Only watching this now.

Cody's great. I'm so happy to be proven wrong (I thought WWE would push DiBiase harder since he's a bigger guy); he's doing the best work of his career (promo-wise) and it was great to see him go over Zeke clean, how it should be.

Tyson Kidd/Gabriel was a good little match, if there were more it'd make for a cruiserweight division.

Man, some good wrestling on tap, ADR/DBryan had a very good showing. Hilarious to see Hunico still donning the mask. Maybe he'll fill in for Mysterio since he's out.....there's only 5 inches in height difference!

It was stupid to have Alicia Fox tag with Nattie, since she's a useless Diva. But they rectified it at the end so that's alright.

About to catch the 20-man battle royal...
