    Hi All,

In December 2010 we replaced the PCB board in our baxi boiler.
Had no problems with it since until today.

When I turn on the switch the Flame and flame and fan symbols flash red and boiler cuts out. Also the system pressure is reading 0.

Firstly any one know how to re pressurise the system.?

Also anyone know reason why flame and fan symbols are flashing red

    Any help realy appreciated

re the pressure,u should have a filler loop on the system for pressurising system, maybe under boiler or in hot press, should have a valve and a flexi hose (silver) and a non return valve,if u find it its probably best to have someone with u to keep eye on gauge as u open valve, when u get up to about 1 bar pressure turn valve off, vent rads, downstairs first, when u have water in all rads check pressure again as will have dropped from venting and open valve again to get up to 1 bar or 1 and half. You may well need to find out why pressure dropped,as could be leak in system.
re the boiler, when u pressurise it may solve prob, have u got manual, will have section on what the different red lights mean etc.

As above but also it may be tank fed, OP if you can't find a filling loop post pictures of the pipework around the cylinder for easier clarification.

I think I've found it. Its a silver pipe with thump screws on both ends.
Theres a t valve on one side thats closed.

Now I've just tried to turn it on but its unbelievably stiff.

    Am I missing something.?

May just be stiff from non use. It may be worth screwing off holding screw and removing handle if you can. Then use an adjustable spanner to open.

If the flame & fan symbols are flashing it is not low water pressure (pump led would be flashing)

if both are flashing, it sounds like a fan/flue or venturi problem and you will need an RGI technician out to repair.
