Strange thread title I know but I found this interesting, checked back the last 3 pages and haven't seen any mention of it.

Whenever the away fans started singing about the owner this thing went off to try and silence the chants.

A fan of Dortmund said he got a Tinnitus after the game and the police are already investigating.

You can hear it above at 2:56,4:03 and 4:35

    Seem kinda sad to me

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

They should just play Ryan Babel rapping over the PA system instead.

When we played in Lille in the UEFA Cup in 2004, there were speakers feeding the noise from home fans into the away section.

    Cunts.

So I'm the first person that wished they did this during the vuvuzela phase? Tinnitis is good enough for anyone that has ever blown into one

I was there in January for the St. Pauli game. I can't say that I noticed that noise but then I was pretty hammered (dang, German beer is strong!) and possibly partially deaf from all the singing on the train

    Great weekend

I can't watch replays of the world cup due to the vuvuzela, ruined the world cup.

They gave the SA World Cup a unique personality for want of a better expression. I understand how they can be annoying but they are the norm in SA sport in general. I'm sure South Africans would find our games dull and quiet by comparison.

I saw a similar device being used at Turners X a few weeks ago, although there they call the acoustic device 'Graham Cummins'.

It shut up and kept shut the mouths of a couple of hundred Shels supporters from about 20 minutes onwards, extremely effective I must say.

Do they have this device for the home fans in the Emirates too?

I was disgusted when I heard about it. Hopefully, Hoppenheim will get a warm reception when they visit the Westfalenstadion :(

Apparently, they did it before and the culprit is found.
