Hi guys, I just bought myself a 2000 almera off the local mechanic down the road from me, He seems like a nice guy and I have heard good think about him..

Now, when I bought the car he gave me a 4 months warranty on it. When I first got into the car I couldnt drive it the clutch was way to springy and I couldnt even move the car forecourt. He admitted that the new clutch was to blame and even admitted that his brother found it hard to drive it (brother owns the garage) so he changed the clutch and the car is driving great but the clutch is actually very noisy, I can clearly hear it spinning when I take my foot of the pedal, I don't notice the noise when i'm driving but when i'm parked up with the engine is running the noise is quite loud and a mate of mine even commented on it the other night.

Should I bring the car back to get it check or is this normal?

yeah that isn't right, the noise is probably the release bearing on the way out

as said release bearing is probably going/probably only bought a clutch and not a kit when he changed it

brought it to an independent mechanic, well my neightbour lol.. He reckons the bearings in the gearbox could be gone?

Car keeps refusing to go into gear.. Is in garage getting fixed now :( the guy i bought it off says it just the clutch though?
