Most of the snow foam lances on ebay i've seen are for karcher fittings, so id check first (somehow) if the tesco one will take that kinda of fitting. I've a pressure washer i recently picked up in aldi & im hoping to get a snow foamer too.

I had asked about that here. Was told too not buy it.

I bought the Karcher K2.21 kit from Amazon, it comes with a detergent bottle which you attach to the gun and you get a foam spray, I assume this is what you mean by 'snow foam'. It's the grey plastic bottle to the left of the brush at the front of the picture when you click on the link below. Basically you spray the car with foam and then use a brush or sponge to wash the car, followed by a blast of water from the washer.

Just note that this is one of the smaller models (K2 pump) which does not have a detergent bottle built in so to use the brush with a foam feed (to wash the car while pumping foam through a brush attached to the gun), you need to pull out a short flexible hose from the front of the pump and dip it into a detergent container supplied by you, I use a 5L plastic container.

The Karcher accessories are very expensive so try to get what you want in the initial kit.

strange and I wouldn't recommend the Karchers at all, on my second in four years I'm going to give the nilfisk a go as it has a two year warranty and someone here said a lot of the detailers use them (a good thing)

Thats interseting. Have we any detailers on here that can help ous out.

Everyone on detailers forum recommends Nilfisk. Metal impellars etc in them.

    Check over the detailers forum.

Most lads on bmw driver.net have bought nilfisks through amazon. nothing but good things to say. Ive an old bosch so no need to change till she dies.

Those detergent attachments you get with a pressure washer wont do for snow foaming your car, as you cant adjust the detergent/water ratio, also if its anything like mine [Lidl purchase, Parkside i think] the detergent attachment has a nozzle that isnt narrow enough to put the mix at a pressure that would make foam, and you cant adjust it.

Basically that detergent bottle that come with your pressure washer won't snow foam your car, you will need to purchase a snow foam lance separately.

So if you want to use this for snow foaming make sure that you can buy a lance for it.

I was thinking of getting a pressure washer myself.

Can you fill them up with water or do you need to attach a hose to them?
